Buckhead Sushi Restaraunt

Starfish Sushi is located in the north of Atlanta in Buckhead. Buckhead, named for an 1838 tavern called the Buck’s Head, is a community within the city of Atlanta, GA. Annexed by Atlanta in 1952, it’s located about 6 miles of downtown. Buckhead is the home to one of Atlanta’s most business districts, wealthiest neighborhood, including the Governor’s mansion, best shopping, and finest restaurants. It’s also the part-time home of Elton John and the former home of golf legend, Bobby Jones.

Comprised of high-rise office and residential condo buildings surrounded by heavily-wooded single-family neighborhoods, Buckhead has many attributes of a fuctioning city. The central core has two main areas: Buckhead Village to the south and the financial and retail district to the north. The Village includes several high-rise residential buildings as well as the majority of nightlife. Much of west and north Buckhead is the single-family residential area in forested settings, while the Peachtree corridor has become the major focus of high-rise construction.

Buckhead has more than 1400 retail shops, maintaining Atlanta’s reputation as the “Shopping Mecca of the Southeast.” The primary shopping districts includes Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza. Located diagonally across each other, the two malls feature more than 350 boutiques and offer the highest concentration of high-end stores in the United States, where shoppers spend in excess of $1 billion per year.

Buckhead also has many luxury hotels, such as the Intercontinental, the Grand Hyatt, and the Ritz-Carlton. It also houses countless number of fine restaurants, bars, and night clubs. Two of the nation’s fourteen Mobil five-star restaurants are located here, where it’s also the densest concentration of bars and clubs in the city.

With its business offices, high-rise condos, retail shops, and some of the finest sushi restaurants, publications refer to Buckhead as the “Beverly Hills of the South,” and Robb Reports magazine consistently ranks Buckhead as one of nation’s “10 Top Affluent Communities” for “some of the most beautiful mansions, best shopping and finest restaurants in the southeastern United States.
